Services

Design
We have an in-house team of architects and engineers who will understand your requirements and accordingly produce the most cost-effective design solution, working closely with you at every stage of the building process. Alternatively, if your design is ready with you, MGI will work with your own architects and designers to maximize the benefits of standardisation and construction efficiency. We can act as your modular structural advisors to achieve the best design solution for your individual needs.
Detailing
We take care of the detailing of our modular steel structures, such as anchoring with the foundation, walls junctions, floor to wall, floor to ceiling details, etc. We also provide installation of finishes, hardware and fixtures.

Typically, MGI will also take charge of the detailing of specialised areas such as hospital operation theatres and ICUs.

The steel structural design conforms to various international codes to ensure the safety of the building.
Project Management
As a turnkey provider, project management falls under our scope of services. To ensure your project runs smoothly, your programme will be handled by a dedicated MGI Project Manager. Acting as a single point of contact, your MGI Project Manager will liaise with you (or your client) and their project team.

Our clients may also appoint independent project managers to ensure that their specifications and requirements for the project are met.

Your MGI Project Manager will co-ordinate with your own design team and deal with:
  • The initial design
  • Design development
  • Agreeing the project programme
  • Managing the installation of foundations, external works and all subcontractors (including your own if required)
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Agreeing the final account
Project Development
MGI project development can help you with:
  • Establishing project objectives – Clarifying your objectives will help us to formulate a clear design specification and building programme.
  • Setting design criteria – We can help you specify detailed elements early in your project. This includes number and location of power points, required air temperature, lighting levels, humidity, flooring type and target running costs.
  • Setting realistic cost parameters – We can help you plan and calculate costs and prevent overspending. Costs can be broken down into specific categories, e.g. the building, site works costs, equipment, furniture, etc.
  • Establishing your layout needs – Your building can be tailored to meet your specific needs. From large open plan areas to heavily serviced facilities, we can help you explore the range of layout possibilities offered by the MGI building system to determine what will suit your requirements best.
  • Exploring design options – As stated earlier, the MGI building system is totally flexible in terms of design. We have developed a number of solutions which can be used to form ribbon windows, feature entrances, claddings such as cedar boarding, terracotta tiles, render and brickwork, etc.
  • Whole life costing – This allows you to evaluate what certain specification decisions would mean in terms of energy consumption and running costs.
Manufacturing
  • MGI has a 60,000 sq.ft. light steel guage manufacturing facility near Chandigarh that produces several section profiles of varying dimensions for modular construction of buildings.
  • Our zero tolerance manufacturing process offers you a superior quality building system with less waste and a clean, environmentally friendly construction process.
  • The use of steel-framed modules results in a building that delivers excellent performance with greater energy efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
